DropCopy Editor's Review

DropCopy is a simple network tool which transfers files between different locations.

DropCopy uses the Bonjour, or SFTP for the network connectivity. The remote locations can be set very easily.

Basically, all you need to do is to configure the application, and then drag-and-drop the files/folders onto its window in order to select a predefined destination. If it's a directory, then the application compresses its content into an archive, and only after that it sends the data. Because of some technical limitations you need to check the documentation in order to properly send certain files.

Most of the provided functionality worked without any issue. You need to check the 'Help' menu though if you get stuck.

Pluses: it allows you to easily send various files to different destination types, so it is pretty usable.

Drawbacks / flaws: it has certain limitations of the engine, it has limited destinations if you use the free (unregistered) version.

In conclusion: it's a pretty good application which can be used for file transfer. However, for SFTP locations I would rather recommend MacFusion.
